Don Hanley' 63rd Christmas Dream

DON'S 63rd. CHRISTMAS POEM

Enhanced by Dr. AI Seuss ðŸŽ„

I’m dreaming of Christmas all sparkly and bright,
With kindness that twinkles like stars in the night.
With joy that goes dancing and laughter that sings,
The way Jesus showed us in wonderful things.

I’m dreaming of Christmas all glowing with knowing,
Where love is the power that sets us all flowing.
It zips through the world like a warm, happy breeze,
Bringing peace to the mountains and calm to the seas.

And we—yes, we!—every Who, me and you, Stick tight as toy soldiers or peppermint glue.

We care for the Earth with a heart and a will,
To guard it, protect it, and cherish it still.

For Jesus once taught—by his life and his call—
That love is a gift meant for one and for all.

So this Christmas of light, in the glow from above,

We know what to do…

Merry Christmas with love! 🎄✨

Christmas 2024 - Don Hanley's blog #71

MERRY CHRISTMAS - my 63rd. Personal card.

Mary said, "My Son, Jesus, would love his poem."

There’s something to know; it’s simple, it’s true.

There’s something to learn, and we’re here to grow, too.

Look deep in your heart, let it shine, let it glow.

For you’re not alone, no matter where you go,

There is something you need to know

We are beautiful, yes, but not like a tree,

We’re made to connect, both you and like me.

And we celebrate a Guy, a bit like you,

He came from God with a message that’s true.

He’s more loving, even than dear old Mom,

And He told us to cheer, so come on, and stay calm.

Let’s connect with each other; don’t be afraid.

For we’re fragile, it’s true, but love never fades.

So open your heart, join the fun with a heart

The world needs your love, your kindness, your heart!

For smarts aren’t enough if love isn’t there.

So live big and be bold – show the world that you care.

Christmas 2023 #10

By Don Hanley – sing to the tune of Shifting Whispering Sands.

If you want to learn the meaning,

    Of that birth in Bethlehem.

Then, look deep inside the story.

               Of your own loving heart.

And you’ll find the joy of living with

The love and light that God

         Has gifted each at birth,

On this lovely planet of ours.

Now, you’ll want to gaze at the mountains.

And the oceans, flowers, and trees.

And especially into the eyes of

All those close beside you, even in your sleep.

Bring the light and the power.

Announced and shared by the baby,

          On that day in Bethlehem.
